Ph.D. in Aerosol Physics and a Degree in Physics from the University of Oviedo, as well as periods in the Nanostrukturtechnik Group at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In addition, she has extensive experience in the field of synthesis, classification and characterization of gas-phase nanoparticles, including the design of experiments with gases and particles in vacuum tubes. This has allowed her to work on:

  • Classification of ions or nanoparticles
  • Electric charge of nanoparticles
  • Deposition of nanoparticles in layers
  • Occupational health and environment safety
  •  Studies on coagulation and aggregation/agglomeration
  •  Tool development, testing and calibration
  •  Automation of regular tasks
  • Characterization of inhalable and respirable fractions
  • Synthesis and manipulation of nanoparticles to replicate risk situations in an exposure chamber
  • Nanoparticle fate modelling in industrial environments
  • Exposure assessment to nanomaterials
  • Improvement of airborne nanoparticle technology
  • Instrumentation development of a new corona charger
  • Theoretical modelling of electrical charging and size selection processes of aerosols
  • Characterization of inhalable aerosol in coal mines, quarries and thermal power stations
  • Proposal and monitoring of research and EU Projects
